Akwa United will now play their home matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League at the Eket Township Stadium, DAILY POST reports.
The new development is due to the busy schedule of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, for International matches.
The Godswill Akpabio Stadium will serve as home ground for Enyimba in the maiden edition of the African Football League.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners will play Wydad Casablanca of Morocco on October 20 at the venue.
Rivers United will also play their CAF Confederation Cup games at the stadium.
The Pride of Rivers are in Group C alongside Dream FC of Ghana, APC Lobito of Angola and Club African of Tunisia.
The Super Eagles will also play their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Crocodiles of Lesotho at the ground.
