So much happened at Kulture Yard on the night the Nigerian Creative Industry Group (CIG) celebrated COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji for his unmatched contributions towards the growth of the Nigerian creative industry.
There is however one image that no one who attended the big event would have left without. That image is the explosive performance on stage of the young lady called KASI. With her song, NA YOU BE THE KOKO!, she left one and all open mouthed and in awe.
From her entry on stage, her performance, interaction with the audience, to her exit with her dancers, everyone was held spell bound by a thoroughbred world class artiste with the future at her feet. The soaring voice, the energy and precision of every move was breath taking. Towards the end, everybody at Kulture Yard was singing with KASI, “NA YOU BE THE KOKO!”
Comments after her show ranged from “wow!”, “incredible”, “unbelievable” “stupendous” to “where has she been?”.
Chief Tony Okoroji is chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Nigeria’s biggest copyright collective management organization. He is also the driver of TOPS DIGITAL, the Ikeja based firm engaged in music promotion, organization of unique events and publishing.
The gal, KASI that everyone experienced at Kulture Yard, is on the TOPS DIGITAL label. The song, NA YOU BE THE KOKO will hit the air waves any time from now. Without any doubt, very soon, everyone will be singing “NA YOU BE THE KOKO!” with KASI, probably Nigeria’s best female performer on stage, as her great voice and music hit one and all.
