Ogun Govt holds education summit January 2024

 The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has revealed the readiness of Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration to hold Education Summit in January 2024, in order to ensure improved, qualitative and accessible education system in the State.

Prof. Arigbabu revealed this while playing host to the Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), in his Office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the Summit would witness an official launch of the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda Digital Platform (OGSERA) and Digital Lesson Plan, as well as discuss other issues that would proffer permanent solution to numerous challenges facing the education sector in the State.

He disclosed further that the State has put necessary machinery in place to ensure a successful programme, adding that education experts across the globe have been contacted to deliberate on things that would further take the system to a greater height.

The Commissioner noted that, “Tentatively we have agreed that we should do this Education Summit in January. During the summit, we are going to address all issues in the education sector”.

Speaking earlier, the AOPSHON Chairman, Comrade Dauda Sanusi, appreciated the present administration for prompt payment of the running cost, promising that teachers would continue to be committed and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.
