Agnes Tager: Oborevwori’s mother-in-law’s final journey begins

The final journey of late Madam Agnes Avwenyotoma Tager, mother of the first lady of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori began today with a service of songs held at her residence at Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, former Governor of the State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, wife of immediate past Governor of the State, Dame Edith Okowa and Senator James Manager were among top dignitaries that attended the ceremony.

Others include; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Secretary to the State Government Dr Kingsley Emu, Chief of Staff to the Governor Prince Johnson Erjio, Senior Political Adviser to the Governor Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, top government functionaries and captains of industries also attended the ceremony.

In his message, titled “time”, Pastor Paul Onorho of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), told Christians to be mindful of how they spend their time on earth, adding that they would be required to account for their time before God.

The Cleric urged Christians to pay attention to God, saying when a man’s ways pleases God, He will make his enemies to be at peace with Him.

The funeral service will hold on Friday at the Eni Grammar School, Evwreni at 10am.
