it all started last Thursday with a walk that started from Ikeja under bridge before the real McCoy that took place at O’jez National Stadium, surulere on Tuesday November 28, 2023. No By the way, O’jez has become the only reason the edifice is still existing.
And as advertised the gathering, which was a conference on drug abuse especially among youths and entertainers was well attended with the presence of the representative of Lagos First Lady Dr. Omowumi Bakare. and Mrs. Rita Okpere, Director Media and Advocacy NDLEA who stood in for the chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and who spoke on how hard drug trafficking and dents the image of a nation and the harmful effect of the substance of it’s users.

In a paper titled ” Preserving the image of a nation” delivered by Mrs. Okpere, Marwa detailed how Nigeria has ‘progressed’ from hard drug transit nation to user and how it is destroyi g the life of it’s citizens mostly youths and entertainers.
The first lady of Lagos in her speech said that government will not back down on its effort at fighting the menace of hard drug.
