Olanrewaju Afuwape is the one in the middle beside him is the Oba Elect of Owutu.
The Chieftaincy contest and war between the two factions in OdoNla on the Obaship of OdoNla should be put to rest as it has been confirmed today the 19th day of December,2023 that Otunba Olanrewaju Afuwape is the Oba Elect for OdoNla Kingdom.
The presentation of Olanrewaju Afuwape by the Ikorodu Chieftaincy council led by it’s Chairman, Oba Kabir Adewale Sotobi as the Oba Elect should put a stop to the differences among the family and the people of OdoNla.
Speaking today at the Palace of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Adewale Sotobi, the Oba stated clearly that the Lagos State Government has already endorsed Olanrewaju Afuwape and that his name has been forwarded to the tribunal on Obaship matters for necessary action.
He also emphasized the need for OdoNla Kingdom to be upgraded from Otunbaship to Obaship. Pointing out that OdoNla is an Ancient town that supposed not to be left behind in Ikorodu Division and Lagos State as a whole.
Reacting to the issue of high Court rulling,the OdoNla Community being represented by the Ogbodo, Raselu and upenyewa family members including representatives of the CDA, Christian and Muslim Leaders stated collectively that the court rulling against the Oba was the hand work of some aggreived persons who do not want development for OdoNla Kingdom.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Prince Shola Opeyemi Taiwo-Gbeto from the Ogbodo family pleaded with the Ayangburen not to allow the court rulling to stop him from doing what is right and that history will not forget him for his well doing for OdoNla Kingdom.
The people unanimously appreciated the Ayangburen and promised to come back to say thank you in a big way after when the staff of office has been presented to the choice of the people who is Otunba Olanrewaju Afuwape.

And Otunba Olanrewaju Afuwape promised to do his best to unite everybody immediately he gets his Staff of Office. He also used this medium to thank all those that are standing by him that God will crown the efforts of everyone with great success.
