Akpabio in Cote D’Ivorie, cheers Eagles to victory

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on Friday, beat Angola to advance into the semi-finals game of the ongoing 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup in Cote d’Ivoire right in the presence of the Senate President, Goodwill Akpabio who flew in moments before the match.

A lone goal from Ademola Lookman in the 41st minute gave Nigeria the lead and victory.

In a highly contested match at the 33,000-capacity Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Nigeria emerged victorious, securing a coveted spot in the AFCON semi-finals.

But all eyes were on Akpabio, the who was on the VIP stand to cheer the Nigerian players with other football fans.

He arrived Cote d’Ivoire on Friday to support the Super Eagles in the quarter-final match against Angola.
