FG partners NGO to woo investors

Following the visit by the executive of the 1st Nigerian -German Investment and Cultural Expo to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, His Excellency, Senator George Akume on 25th July 2023 in his office led by the Director General, Salute Nigeria Initiative, Amb. Chielo Ojirika.

Preparations are in top gear for the successful execution of the event in Berlin Germany.

This was made known to the media during the inauguration of the 28 man member of the organising committee in Abuja on 25th January 2024, the committee comprising offices of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministries of Industry, Trade and Investment, Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Foreign Affairs, German Partners and Private Sector.

While inaugurating the members, the former Inspector General of Police, Sir Dr. Mike Okiro, who is also the Chairman of the main organising committee, tasked them on due deligence and competence.

The Deputy Chairman of the main organising committee, Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu,a First Republic Parliamentarian, elder statesman and investment facilitator, tasked the members to use their wealh of experience to showcase Nigeria to the international world in order to attract FDI.

The programme coordinator Amb. Chielo Ojirika, Nigerian Cultural Ambassador to Germany who is also known as Chiboy The Black Courage, said that the nation’s rich human, cultural and natural resources will be harnessed and showcase to the world.

He said that the Nigerian -German Investment and Cultural Expo is designed to showcase the Investment and Cultural Potentials in Nigeria to attract Foreign Direct Investment from the Federal Republic of Germany and the rest of the world. In fact, NGICE aims to bring the world to Berlin for Nigeria as Investment Paradise.

Amb.Ojirika said that the annual event will feature paper presentations, showcasing of investment opportunities, panel discussions, exhibitions, networking Investment roundtable, visits to strategic companies and organisations as well as cultural display and exchange, gala night concert and awards.

He further said that there will be special daily sessions for various States in Nigeria to make their presentations and showcase their Investment opportunities.

The event is scheduled for 25th-29th June 2024, with the Theme: Unlocking Nigeria’s Investment Potentials for Industrial Revolution, Sub-Theme : Cultural Export:Key Opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment.

He concluded by saying that NGICE 24 is expected to further strengthen the existing bilateral and economic relations between Nigeria and Germany and compliment President Bola Tinubu ‘s efforts towards diversifying and rebuilding the Nigerian economy.
