That fateful day,the weather was temperate in natural beauty,as the sun glistening in all magnificence,warmly bathed thousands of excited spectators who besieged the Stephen Keshi stadium,Asaba,Delta State, Southern Nigeria.
One man stood out.
He was dressed in sparkling snow-white lace top embellished with dazzling rhinestones and a fluffy flowery orange Wrapper.
A black velvet Fedora hat adorned his head with pepper-red circular bead,perched on his broad chest.
A popular ethnic attire among the people of Niger Delta.
On his rotound face rested a vintage eye glass, held firmly by gold- plated temples,which illuminated his visage.
Viewed from every angle at the crowded stadium,the man of the moment shone like Earth’s brightest star,Sirius.
But he was not alone.His wife,a calm lady,chiseled in tender elegance,was nestled beside him,decked in angelic white.Her fair skin tone,a perfect complement to his ebony black frame.
Amidst torrents of cheers by the mammoth crowd at the capacity-filled stadium Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori,palm on a Bible cradled by spouse,Tobore,was sworn-in as Delta Governor,exactly 11.54am
