President Ahmed Tinubu has shamed some Nigerians who have been making mockery of him following the slip that resulted in his fall during the Democracy Day activities.
Jokingly he refered to his stumble as “a display of swagger” and sent everybody in the hall rolling with laughter including himself while addressing the distinguished audience during the State Banquet Dinner at the Presidential Villa and attributed the misstep to his rich Yoruba heritage.
‘Dobale’ is a Yoruba language word for prostate adding that that was his own way of prostrating for the day, which is a very significant day in the annals of Nigerian history.
He slipped and fell while trying to boarding the presidential parade vehicle.
He approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the venue but lost his balance momentarily as he was about to step into it.
The President, immediately, regained his balance and continued with the proceedings with the help of his security aides.
Speaking at the dinner, Tinubu laughed and attributed the misstep to his Yoruba heritage.
Jokingly, he referred to his Yoruba cultural roots: “I did my ‘Dobale’ this morning *as* a Yoruba man for Democracy Day”.
