Good morning and happy Sunday to you all the good people of Adonte. I want to use this opportunity to inform you that our preparation for the Aniocha South Local Government Electioneering Campaign Activities are in top gear. We are set and ready to mobilize fully and kickstart the electioneering campaign activities tomorrow in grand style tomorrow being 1st of July 2024, with the handling over of flag to our PDP candidates at Ogwashi-Uku by our amiable Governor, Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
It is no longer news that we the good people of Adonte have adopted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as our political party and we are also supporting our candidates, Miss Patricia Adolue as Vice Chairman and Mrs Beauty Odimegwu as Councilor to a landslide victory, followed by a thanksgiving ceremony to the glory of God, because we have not had it this good politically in the history of Adonte in addition to the current change in our political ideology and consciousness, as well as our renewed sprit of oneness, unity of purpose, collaborative partnership, cooperation, volunteerism, cheerful giving and community service – which are all tailored towards the peace, development and progress of Adonte.
Tomorrow’s flag handing over ceremony by our Governor at Ogwashi-Uku is very significant to us and I will like the presence of Adonte to be well felt through our unique, spectacular and massive impact, gingering and show of unwavering support for our daughters who will represent us at the election and L.G.A Council by the grace of God .
In this regard, it means that all road leads to Ogwashi-Uku for the people of Adonte who reside in Adonte, Nsukwa Areas, Ogwashi-Uku, Asaba and it’s Environs and any other location. We are expected to gather together as a group at the venue, make a thunderous impact and show to the Governor and the crowd of Deltans that we can hold our own against any Delta community when it comes to electioneering campaign rally.
I am therefore appealing to our community stakeholders, the Okanga band group, our flute master, Adonte chapter of the PDP, Concerned Indigenes of Adonte, Adonte Political Support Group, Nonindigenes of Adonte, Women, Youths and other interested persons to come out en mass to give our daughters a maximum support, courage and confidence they need to succeed.
We have planned for logistics arrangement to convey people from Adonte to Ogwashi-Uku. We will be distributing Campaign T-shirts and Face caps. Our Banners will be displayed to showcase Adonte in a colourful manner. We will use tomorrow’s occasion to unveil our Candidates, our Campaign Banners, our Campaign T-shirts and Campaign Face caps. Our Coordinators at Adonte will give you details of the arrangement on ground for the event.
With the inauguration of the PDP Campaign Council at the L.G.A and Ward 10 levels and our ongoing fund raising exercise, the stage is set and we are going to use our style of electioneering campaign to prevail on our Aniocha South communities to present a common front for the victory of the PDP at the election ground. We are not just going to win the election, but we want to test the loyalty, faith, confidence and commitment of our communities to the PDP through the strength of their votes.
