The ‘national’ President of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Pretty Okafor has reportedly been removed from office by those who don’t like his style of piloting the affairs of the musicians union and has installed one of their own and foremost musician, Sunny Neji as interim President to oversee the affairs of the body.

The exclusive information obtained by “News Platform” has it that the now suspended National President, Pretty Okafor is in faraway Spain attending to PMAN business when some members hatched the impeachment led by the National Secretary of PMAN, Boniface Itodo, aka, Aital Bunny.
According to available information, the disgruntled members had to use the opportunity that Pretty is out of town to orchestrate and carry out the civilian coup, which this platform just learned had been in the works for a very long time, but theu were waiting for the right time to strike till he traveled out of Nigeria.
In their suspension letter exclusively obtained by “News Platform”, the orchestrators of this impeachment stated as one of their grouse against him, the fact that Pretty Okafor directed a PMAN property developer to deposit $40,000 (Forty thousand dollars) into his personal domiciliary account without proper authorisation from the NWC, which according to them, violates o the constitutional provision.
However, speaking with “News Platform” from Spain, Okafor told this platform that truly, a query was sent to him in Spain, and he took time to respond to all the issues raised in the query one after another only to be awakened by the news of his suspension this morning.
Those who purportedly suspended him, he said have no such powers to do so and those whose vision is backwardness will not be allowed to have their way.
