E.M.F. Prays
Dear Brethren,
At a time like this, the beginning of the new year, 2025, the scriptures in Lamentations 3:22-23 loom larger than life on the screen of my consciousness.
“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
The opportunity to see every new day and indeed, every new year, is a precious gift of the grace (Luli) of God in our lives. By giving us the grace to enter into the new year, 2025, God has given us the chance of a new beginning.
A chance to rededicate ourselves in worship and living and to move closer to Him. We must therefore retrospectively look at the challenges and triumphs that we experienced in the expired year, 2024. We must also make a record of them and bring them before God, with the unflinching belief that His mercies in 2025 are new, abundant and overflowing.
As we look back over the past year, it becomes very clear that there is a lot to be appreciated in the way God has favoured the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
Our church has continued to hold its own in the body of Christ as we march steadily towards fulfilling our divine mandate to spread the word and cleanse the world. The Bible says in everything we should give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us (1Thesalonians 5:18). This new year address is in obedience to this scripture, as I express our profound appreciation and gratitude to God for His faithfulness, goodness and mercies to our great church.

We thank God for all accomplishments of 2024 and send words of deep gratitude to all those that joined us for the Altar Laying/Dedication Ceremony of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ark of Salvation Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State, in December 2024. May the Lord’s blessings and protection continue to abide with you all. In the same vein, we are compelled to chant 21 resounding Halleluyah for the success of the recently concluded December 2024 Imeko Convocation of our church. Indeed, our gratitude is eternal!
As we celebrate the advent of 2025, I wish to urge our entire clergy and laity to remain committed, steadfast, faithful and to continue to uphold those values, rules and tenets passed down to us by our founding father, Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa. For the laity in particular, we must all get involved and work together to ensure that the potentials of this great church, the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, are fully realized for the benefit of humanity and generations yet unborn. All hands must be on deck!
I must also not fail to use this opportunity to enjoin us all not to get tired of praying for God’s intervention towards the perfection of total reconciliation, restoration and unity, within the fold. We must eschew all tendencies that may aggravate disagreements, strife and litigations, in all strata of C.C.C. W/w.
Let me seize this opportunity to commiserate with the family of Late Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist (Prophet) Johnson Olajuwonlo, Wolider, C.C.C. Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa Cathedral, International Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos, who went to be with the Lord on the 1st day of January, 2025. I pray that the Lord would give the family the fortitude to bear this sad, sudden and irreparable loss. I also pray that God Almighty would uphold and strengthen the church he left behind.
On this note, I leave you with the words of a renowned messenger of God, “Dear Lord, when our life on earth is done, may we stand before you and hear the words, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’ Father, we know that our time on earth is but a few words in the cosmic story. Help us to use our time wisely, and leave our mark when our time is done. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
May the soul of AVSE Johnson Olajuwonlo (JJ) find eternal peace in the bosom of the Lord. Amen.
