To the glory of Almighty Allah subuhana wa tahala, Kuburat Bolarinwa mi, you turn 60 years old today.
60 is universally referred to as the celebration of the diamond age in a person’s life. But to me, for all that you represent in my life and our family, you are more than a diamond. You are everything good as God’s human creature.
I have not said this for the fun of this day just to titilate you on your birthday as your husband, even our lovely children I’m sure feel the same way. Everyone around us in our larger family and our friends feel the same.
Is it not uncommon to hear that in about 15 years back we’ve not had cause to disagree over anything, even for 15 minutes.
No keeping of malice with me by you, not even for 15 minutes.
No grudges with anyone, not even for 15 minutes.
You give no airs to no one, not at all.
No altercations in the home, not even for 15 minutes.
I give you all the credit for the peace we’ve enjoyed in our home and between us and our lovely children.
Yes, you genuinely earned the credit because I know that I have my own imperfections as a human being.
I know I have my shortcomings as a man.
I know I have my inadequacies as your husband.
And I know my weaknesses as a father to our children.
But in a most unbelievable manner, you have kept troubles away from us.
You have kept the peace of the family flourishing.
It is indeed unbelievable because nobody, in my family and our company of friends, has ever complained against you about anything. You are such a peaceful woman.
So, my KB, today for me is not just to celebrate you on your birthday, it is to thank you most profoundly for bringing sunshine into our home and family.
Remain forever blessed, my wife, our mother in the house.
Now, make I do small longa-throat. Because I’m extremely happy to have you.
May Allah spare our lives with good health till you shall hit the 100 years.
And I know verily that Allah has granted this my prayer and you would be 100 years and more.
So you may graciously marry for me a petit, beautiful, queenly young wife as an award to me for being your good husband.
That is my simple prayer to Allah on this your special day and I will wait till that time when we shall be having your centenary birthday celebration
