ABIA STATE TO RECRUIT 5,000 TEACHERS TO STRENGTHEN EDUCATION SECTOR

Following the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held yesterday and presided over by Governor Alex Otti, OFR, I am pleased to announce that the state government has increased the recruitment quota for teachers from 2,500 to 5,000 to accommodate the rising number of students in public schools due to the free and compulsory education policy.

πŸ“ 9,371 applicants have been shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

πŸ“ A Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted soon, with details to be announced.

πŸ“ The recruitment process remains transparent and merit-based, ensuring that only the best-qualified candidates are selected.

πŸ“ The decision to expand the recruitment quota follows a review of the increasing student population in public schools.

This administration remains committed to enhancing the quality of education in Abia State, ensuring that every child receives proper guidance from competent and dedicated teachers.

Stay tuned for updates on the next phase of the recruitment process!
