Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos – As Muslims across the world mark the holy festival of Eid al-Adha, Labour Party Chairmanship Candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Hon. Dayo Asade, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt prayers to the Muslim faithful in the community and beyond.

In a statement released earlier today, Hon. Asade congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a festival that symbolizes obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

“As we offer our sacrifices and prayers on this sacred day,” Hon. Asade stated, “may Allah (SWT) accept our acts of worship, strengthen our faith, and shower His mercy and blessings on our families, our community, and the entire Muslim Ummah.”

He called on residents of Ifako-Ijaiye to celebrate with love, unity, and a renewed commitment to charity, peace, and compassion — values that define the true spirit of the Eid celebration.

“This is a time to share with the less privileged, extend kindness to one another, and uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Let us use this opportunity to build bridges of unity, especially in our dear community of Ifako-Ijaiye,” he added.

Hon. Asade, known for his grassroots approach and pro-people agenda under the “Omo Adugbo Gangan” movement, reaffirmed his dedication to promoting inclusive governance, interfaith harmony, and community welfare.

The statement concluded with a heartfelt prayer:

“Eid Mubarak! Barka da Sallah! May this Eid bring prosperity, joy, and divine favor to every household in Ifako-Ijaiye.”
