Ugochukwu was born into the family of late Mr. John Ashinze and Comfort Ezeamusha in the early Seventies in Adonte in Anioch South LGA of present Delta State. He spent his early years briefly at Adonte before joining his late aunty, Deaconess Grace Ezeamusha at Ogwashi Uku where he attended both his primary and secondary school education at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ogwashi Uku. He joined The Nigeria Police Force shortly after his secondary school education in 1992 at Asaba division and served in several state commands including Edo, Abuja and finally Lagos where he rose to the position of deputy superintendent of ploice (DSP) before his demise on 8th of May 2025.
He was married to his beautiful wife whom he had lived with until his death. They were both blessed with four lovely children. Ugo was a committed, dedicated and gentle man who believes in peace and cordial relationship with whoever he came in contact with.
He was a man who believed so much in self development and continuous improvement. This led to his enrolment at Lagos State University while in service and subsequently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with plans to pursue his masters before his untimely death.
He had been involved in community development and a strong member of Adonte Development Union, Lagos Branch where he has been involved in various community development for the progress and development of our home town – Adonte.
He participated fully in the following development inititiative by Adonte Development Union, Lagos Branch.
- Yearly grading and maintenance of our link road to our Local Government Heaquarters.
- Infrastructural development and renovation at our Secondary School and Primary School.
- Renovation of Youth Corper’s Lodge and deployment of Youth Corpers yearly to our Secondary School and Primary School to ensure quality of education
- Participated and co-financed annual reunion and end of the year celebration of all sons and daughters of Adonte resident in Lagos environ and Ogun State aimed at fostering peace, unity and progress among our people.
- He was involved in mobilizing our people for Voter’s Registration, Political enlightenment, awareness and to exercise their voter’s franchise. In his life time, late Mr. Ugochukwu Eze touched and transformed many lives for good. He will remain evergreen in our memory. May His Soul rest in perfect peace
