The Chairman National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, yesterday 4th of July 2025, received the Director General, Salute Nigeria Initiative and Coordinator, Nigerian German Investment and Cultural Expo NGICE25, Ambassador Chielo Ojirika at his office in Abuja. Ambassador Ojirika who visited the Chairman to formerly introduce and invite the National Sports Commission to the forthcoming NGICE25, scheduled for August 25th – 28th 2025 in Berlin Germany informed him that NGICE25 is organized by Salute Nigeria Initiative (SNI), in collaboration with The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) with the support of Ministry of Foreign affairs and other relevant MDAs. The theme of the event is “Unlocking Nigeria’s Investment Potentials for Industrial Revolution and Cultural Export: Key Opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment”. He said that the objective of the Expo is to strengthen the bilateral relations between Nigeria and Germany with the aim of improving Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The event is also aimed at providing a platform for fostering the synergy between investors and Governments of both countries. It will also create immense opportunities for business networking and matchmaking of Nigeria and German business and investors among others. 3. The Expo will focus on the following sectors: Renewable Energy; Mining; Oil & Gas; Agro-Allied; Automotive, ICT; Tourism; Marine Business; Pharmaceuticals; Health & Medical Equipment Transportation; Housing Development; Sports Development, Creative/Entertainment Industry; Security Management, etc. The participants expected at the event include Foreign and Local Investors, Diplomats, State Governors, Ministers, High Ranking Government Officials, Chief Executives of Agencies and Parastatals, Captains of Industries as well as stakeholders from the organized private sector.Amb. Ojirika further said that the Expo will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions, investors roundtable, gala night, global peace concert & awards. The participants will also be availed the opportunity to visit strategic formations and organizations in Berlin while States and Organizations from Nigeria will have time to showcase their investment opportunities and potentials. He informed the Chairman that the NGICE25 Organizing Committee chaired by Sir Mike Okiro IGP RTD, will be honored with his presentation of a paper titled “Investing in Sports Development to Bridge the Gap on Youth Engagement and Employment.Amb. Chielo Ojirika who is also known as Chiboy The Black Courage is a Nigerian Cultural Ambassador to Germany who became the first Nigerian and African artiste to top the top Ten Internet music chart in Germany in 2001 with a remixed version of the Nigerian national Anthem titled What’s up Wazobia “Nigeria Arise Again” commended Dikko’s Courage, Finesse and dynamic approach in the management of the Nigerian Sports Sector since he assume office while wishing him more successful years of milestones as he celebrate his 55th birthday.
