…. Holds thanksgiving service at RCCG Alakuko
All roads will lead to the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG LP29), Baale Animashaun Road, Alakuko, Lagos State on August 10 for the birthday celebration and thanksgiving service in honour of Dr. Ikhayere Jossy Ijie, as he clocks 60.
He will also be using the occasion to thank God as he retires from the active service of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA).
After the church service, reception of guests follows immediately at El-Shaddai Marque Event Centre, 5A Terry Grillo Street, U-Turn Bus Stop, Abule-Egba, Lagos State.
Dr. Ijie has put in 30 years of unblemished service to his fatherland.
Below is his profile.
On August 8, 1965, a baby boy, Dr Ijie Ikhayere, was born into the devout christian family of Hon. & Mrs M. O ijie in the peaceful town of Ibore .
He started his western education at Ibore Primary School, Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
Little Ijie Ikhayere journeyed to Okpilla in 1979 for his secondary education at Ikpomaza Grammar School Okpilla but later proceeded to Adollo College Benin City where he completed his secondary school certificate in 1985.
On completion of his secondary education, he got admission into College of Education Ekiadolor Benin City in 1986/87 session
to study Mathematics and Economics.
Ijie Ikhayere again proceeded to the University of Porthacourt where he bagged a degree in economics & education with second class upper division and emerging as the third best graduating student in the faculty before enlisting into the NDLEA in 1994 as a Cadet officer and later rose to the rank of Deputy commander of Nacortics. DCN.
His love for Education is undeniable. While, working, he proceeded for his Msc Economics a degree he obtained in 2001 at Ambrose Alli university Ekpoma.
A relentless soul in terms of aqusition of knowledge, 2002 he was in the University of Lagos where he earned a Master degree in International Law and Diplomacy.
Dr ijie rounded up his academic pursuit in the University of Abuja between 2015 – 2019 with a Doctorate in Economics.. Specialising in health economics and econometrics.

CAREER.
Dr ijie started his public service career as a secondary school teacher in 1992, with the Edo State government. Like I said before he enlisted into the National Drug law Enforcement Agency in 1994 as a Cadet officer and Rose to the Rank of DCN.
He has also held several positions at NDLEA, including.. Principal Staff Officer (PSO) in Various state commands of NDLEA.
AREA Commander in many states, including Ogun, Adamawa, Taraba, Jigawa, Enugu states and most recently FCT.

Diokpa Nzekwu for burial, August 1st
The Nzekwu family of Umuohule quarters, Umuidinisagba Village, Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, has formally announced the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and elder statesman Diokpa Fidelis Nduka Nzekwu.
Pa Fidelis Nduka Nzekwu born on the 14th day of April, 1924, was a retired Senior Nigerian Police Officer, a music lover, and an accomplished sportsman. He lived a remarkable life, marked by unwavering faith, wisdom, humility, and dedicated service to his family, community, and humanity. His legacy of courage, integrity, discipline, and leadership will be forever remembered and cherished.
In an obituary announcement signed by Dr. Henry Onyia Nzekwe, the Service of Songs will hold at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Ibusa.
The Pre- Funeral Welcome Entertainment has been scheduled for the family compound, Umuohule, Umuidinisagba Village, Ibusa. 7.30 pm.
The Lying-in-State ceremony is also scheduled for his residence, Umuohule Quarters, Ibusa, from 9am to 11am, to be followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Ibusa. 12 noon.
The Interment holds at his home in Ibusa. Only immediate family will attend.
The Reception follows at the family compound, Umuohule Quarters, Umuidinisagba Village, Ibusa, while the funeral events will be concluded on Monday, August 4th with traditional rites.
Diokpa Nduka Nzekwu is survived by his wife, Chief Mrs. Theresa Omebe Nzekwu; their children: Henry (a Strategic Communication Expert), Stella, Delia, Isioma, and Vivian; in-laws: the Henshaws, Uferes, Parkinsons, and Nwobis; grandchildren: Richard, David, Shanice, Tyrell, Adaoha, Nneka, and Ndidi; a great-grandchild, Chideziri; as well as his sisters, brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
