The Government of Abia State has said that it is delighted to announce that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will be visiting Abia State on Friday, 3rd October 2025, to inaugurate a number of strategic roads recently completed in Aba by the administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
This visit marks a historic moment for our dear state as it reflects both the recognition of the transformational strides being undertaken by Governor Otti’s administration and the renewed partnership between the Federal Government and Abia State in driving sustainable infrastructure development.
The following completed road projects are scheduled for commissioning:
- Port Harcourt Road (Dual Carriage Road of 3 lanes each with drainage)
- Ohanku Road 3 Ndoki Road
- Ajiwe Street
- Umuatako Road
- Chief Nkoro Street and Spurs, Abayi, Aba
- Gabriel Nwosu Street
It is important to note that all these roads have been fully equipped with installed solar flood lights, which has now been established as a standard in Abia State’s road infrastructure projects, further reflecting Governor Otti’s vision for sustainable development, safety, and modernization.
As part of the President’s visit, there will be a Civic Reception in his honour at the Aba Township Stadium by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
