The Honourable Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of projects at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, following a working visit to the institution on Thursday.

During the visit, Prof. Tonukari inspected several completed and ongoing projects, including the newly completed Faculty of Management and Social Sciences building.
He described the structure as a significant milestone in the university’s infrastructural development.
The Commissioner also toured the construction sites of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the 1,500-seat auditorium, both of which are currently underway.
Speaking after the inspection, Prof. Tonukari commended the contractors for their efforts but urged them to expedite work to ensure timely completion.
He emphasized that the new facilities are essential for strengthening academic programs and enhancing the overall learning environment.
Prof. Tonukari also lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his swift funding and unwavering support for education-related projects across the state.
He noted that the governor’s commitment to higher education has enabled the steady progress witnessed in universities and other tertiary institutions in Delta State.
“These projects will elevate the University of Delta to a new level, providing students with modern facilities that meet global standards,” Prof. Tonukari stated.
The visit underscores the Delta State Government’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure across its higher institutions, ensuring that students and staff benefit from world-class educational facilities
