That was my last message to you on September 29. When there was no response, I grew worried, for you were always prompt in your replies. Alas, the worst has now happened.
A friend, a brother, a compatriot — Segun Awolowo — is gone.
From our days in the Progressive Action Movement (PAM), to the frequent meetings at the Villa where I served alongside your brother-in-law as Special Adviser, we shared invaluable moments, reflecting deeply on our dear country and her many challenges.
Now you are no more.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace
