For NFVCB, there is always room for improvement on PAO

There’s always room for improvement, this often made statement is what Dr. Shaibu Husseini led National Film and Censors Board ( NFVCB) made of the 5th Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulatory Conference.

In it’s fifth edition and the second to be organised under the leadership of Hussein, the fifth edition was a great improvement and success from that of last year when Hussein was barely a year in office as the executive director and CEO of the censors board, which might soon become a classification board.

From the venue where this year’s edition was held to the quality of guests and guest speakers to the royal presence of the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi

who was ably represented by his wife, Olori Temitope Ogunwusi, that gave a powerful speech that kept the audience clapping for minutes after her exit from the podium, not forgetting the novel addition of recognising stakeholders in the industry that have clocked 50 and 60, the event was simply breath takingThere is no doubt that Ms. Ayim-Osigwe in whose memory the programme is held annually would be smiling in her grave and saying kudos NFVCB and Husseini. Others who spoke at the event that took place at The MUSON Centre, that is a  more  spacious place for such event compared to  Sheraton Four Hotel where it held last year was Bolanle Austen -Peter of Terra Kulture; she delivered on her topic just like Mo Abudu stole the show as the guest speaker and also the presence of Ben Murray-Bruce who  gave the audience more insight into his contribution to the entertainment industry in Nigeria. Hussein with the two editions held under his watch has shown that that when a competent person is appointed to lead a regulory agency, stakeholders in the industry rejoice just like the bible said that when  the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice.
