Prophet Asari Osei Tutu, the senior prophet at Miracle Gate International, Accra, Ghana, Fuji musician, Abass Akande alias Obesere, Hon. Fayomi Abraham (Fayab), top the list of people that smiled home with awards at this year’s Celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) Award/AGM ceremony held on Thursday at LCCI building in Lagos.
A popular motivational speaker, Dr. Somi Uranta, who is also the proprietor of Somi Steam Car Wash, Oregun whose speech as the guest speaker was themed: ‘Strengthening the Voice of Celebrity Journalism in the Digital Era’ was the guest speaker
In his speech, he called on journalists to constantly reinvent themselves so they can reap the fruits of their labour on earth and not wait until they get to heaven.
He was of the opinion that they should add value to whatever they do and do it with all their soul.
To further his point, he predicted that Aliko Dangote will soon become the world’s richest man because he is adding value to crude oil by refining it rather than just export it to the west in its raw form.
Earlier in her opening speech, the president of the assassination, Mrs Funmi Olowosegun said that the association has focused on three core objectives of professionalism, partnership and progress saying “we have worked to enhance the professional capacity of our members via training and media development workshops.
According to her the association have forged strong partnership with public and private sector stakeholders…’.
CJPAN is a union of mostly publishers of softshell magazines or those who have worked in them. And the award ceremony received support from United Bank for Africa, Zenith Bank and FirstBank of Nigeria, the three most leading banks in Nigeria.
