It was an interesting time out there on Saturday November 29,2025 at Efon Alaye House Shomolu when Dr. Robert Adekunle Ibironke Atobatele unveiled his book, “The Obaloja Atobatele: A Sneak Peek of The Obalu History.”

Well packaged book on Obalu town that the author said took him several years to complete is the story of Obaloja Atobatele of Obalu, a quarter in Efon Local Government Area in the present Ekiti State.
A very interesting thing about the book that is a historical material, is that the author said it was not for sale.
“All I have written in this book is what my father related to me when I was a child and now that I am full matured man, I decided to put them down in a book form now that now that I am a man so, therefore, this is not a money making venture. I did not write the book for sale. I will be giving it out to whoever cares so they can know the contributions of Obaloja Atobatele to Obalu,” he said.
Dr. Atobatele was schooled in Canada Where he obtained his PhD before coming home.
