Uromi Junction Flyover : Uzum hails Oborevwori

…Says I’ve been vindicated

As the governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, performs the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the N59.7 Billion Uromi Junction Flyover in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Eugene Azuka Uzum has again maintained that he has been vindicated, following his earlier call for the state government to address the lingering deplorable state of the popular junction.

Uzum, a lawyer, politician and public analyst, said that when he raised the need to facelift the junction, considering the multifaceted advantages of so doing in advancing not only the easy flow of traffic in the area, but also consolidating on the genuine push of the Oborevwori Administration to sustain infrastructural development of the state, many condemned him.

He commended Governor Oborevwori for being sensitive to constructive criticism of his administration, adding that many had argued that the road actually fell within the control and maintenance of the Federal Government, adding that for the governor to undertake the giant project in the state is an index of his critical analysis of need assessments of projects before embarking upon them.

Uzum noted that awarding the contract for the construction of the flyover to Julius Berger, Nigeria PLC, a foremost construction giant in Nigeria, underscored the commitment of the Oborevwori Administration to ensure its completion in record time and to specifications, adding that it would ease vehicular movements, curb accidents and boost economic activities upon completion in the area.
