Team Delta State male soccer team zonal trial is happening this Friday, Feb 6, 8:30 am at Ekpan Police Barracks, ahead of the 2nd Niger Delta Games. Players from Warri, Ughelli, Uvwie, Udu, Okpe, and Sapele will assemble at Ekpan Police Sports Complex in batches.
Team Delta is a potential gold medal contestant, having reached the final in Uyo’s 1st edition (female)
The female category players will get further trial directives soon.
Head of Technical and former Head Coach, Gordon Ogbe, is working hard to ensure Delta State presents a solid team. This could be why he was patient after the finals of the state principal cup held on Thursday (Yesterday) where Pessu Primary School emerged winner.
Team Delta aims to reclaim top spot after narrowly losing to Bayelsa State in the maiden edition.
All teams are expected in Edo State from Feb 20-27 for the games.
