Politics is dynamic. It is frightening to note that the youths of ANIOCHA/Oshimili have taken the 2027 election into the Federal House of Representatives personal.
Feelers across the 4 local Govt areas that make up the constituency are that the youths are hell bent on chasing the 3rd term lawmaker out of the race rather than give him an accommodating space. Information from his own ANIOCHA North LG is that the majority of the independent youths are kicking against him returning to represent them in Abuja. Apart from the minority dependent ones who are still calling on him to go for a 4th term. Most people from his constituency are in support of the seat going to Oshimili but our informant has it that Hon Elumelu is not listening to leaders from his own LG council.
From Oshimili North to Oshimili South and down to ANIOCHA South, the general consensus of the youths is that Elumelu should give way and allow fresher ideas that are more digitalized in their mindset.
Our source explained that a proposed meeting by the youths with Hon Elumelu where they were supposed to tell him to his face to withdraw for fresher candidates was botched because the agenda of the proposed meeting was leaked to Hon Elumelu.
No doubt, in democracy, everyone reserves the right to contest for any position, as such it is still within the rights of Hon Ndudi Elumelu to contest for any seat he so wishes.
However, the youths are calling on him to allow them to grow politically by stepping down from the house of Reps race ,so as to give room for the younger ones.
But do you think that Hon Elumelu would bow to pressure from the youths when he knows that he can buy all the youths with money.
