Duke to receive NFFG/NEGA’s Awards in Frankfurt Germany

Legendary Nigerian music act, Amb. Felix Duke, is set to join several other entertainment industry stars in Frankfurt Germany for this year’s celebration of the Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) and Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA).

Duke who is also the President of the Creative Industry Group of Nigeria (CIG) disclosed this during a recent chat with newsmen where he called on all his fans and well wishers to catch him live at the event.

The “Johana” monster hit crooner who will also receive awarded at the event expressed his appreciation to the organisers promising that attendees should be ready for a swell time.

The multiple awards winner also added that having won several awards both home and abroad, it is a great feeling to be considered for another coveted award outside the shores of our land.

The organiser of the event Ehi Izoya had earlier said it’s one aimed at exposing Nigerian artistes through roadshows across European countries and the annual Nollywood Festival in Frankfurt.

Izoya stressed the importance of cultural exposition projects to change the negative narrative about Nigeria, emphasising that entertainment is a powerful tool in this regard. He pointed out the global success of the Nigerian movie and music industries as evidence.

This year’s festival will kick off on August 2nd to August 3rd, at 2:30 pm.

The festival will culminate in the Nollywood Europe Golden Awards NEGA-GALA-NITE on the same day at 9 pm with a gala night showcasing leading Nollywood celebrities and musicians, who will receive awards and offer live entertainment on stage, complemented by performances from Europe-based artistes.

Other VIPS and stars to storm the event include; His Excellency Ambassador Yakubu Dadu, Nigerian Consul General, Ms. Svetlana Svyatskaya, Frankfurt’s Ministry of Arts and Culture’s representative, Chief Mike Itua from Handover, Elder Engr Jacklyn Imade Iyamu, Elder Ajibola Antonio, Nollywood celebrities and traditional afrobeat musicians namely; esteemed Nigerian dignitaries such as the Nigeria national president of “Association of Movie Producers – AMP” Ambassador Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, Nollywood icon Kalu Ikeagwu, New Nollywood sensational actress, Sarian Martin, Cynthia Agholor, Julius A. Amioje, Dr. Henry Emeka Obidi Director/Producer of Iyeoba, Ayeny T.
