Okiro
Following the Ime Obi and the Ohanaeze general assembly declaration that it was the turn of Rivers State to produce the next Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General at the end of Imo State tenure in early 2025.
A Nigerian Cultural Ambassador to Germany, Amb. Chielo Ojirika on Monday 30th December suggested the former Inspector General of Police, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro as the best choice for the position.
Ambassador Ojirika opined the choice of Okiro leadership”, based on his outstanding achievement, wealth of experience and service to humanity, it would be of great benefit to the Rivers people, Ndigbo and Nigeria in general.
He stated that he is convinced that Okiro ‘s Presidency would be characterized by industrialization, security management, foreign investment for development, socio-cultural development, grassroot development and youth empowerment, integration of diaspora for regional development as well as sustainable unity for national development.
I” strongly believe that Ohanaeze, South-South and Nigeria needs Okiro to serve, especially,at this critical period where President Bola Tinubu lead government is desirous to stabilize and reposition the economy.
