Team S.B.J. Oshoffa, representing the Celestial Church of Christ, has emerged victorious in the last grassroots football tournament of the year 2024 in Lagos State.
Playing against the Orimolade Team, representing the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Team SBJ Oshoffa emerged winners by trouncing their opponent with a 4-0 scoreline.
From the start of the game, the Oshoffa boys dominated their C&S opponents, leaving them no room to operate in the match played at the Abalti Barracks Military Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Operating like siamese twins on the field of play, the duo of Johnson Michael and Taiwo David mesmerised the spectators with a skillful synergy that resulted 3 goals, scored in quick succession in the first half of the match.
The fate of the Orimolade boys was completely sealed with a 4th goal in the 2nd half, ensuring victory for the SBJ Oshoffa boys in the maiden edition of the Unity Trophy tournament powered by the White Garment Ambassadors.
Amongst the spectators were Lt-Col Michael Toriola (C.C.C.) and Adebanji Atewogboye, Senior Special Assistant on Grassroot Sports to the Lagos State Governor.
