Okoroji wants Ejeagha immortalised

OKOROJI MOURNS MIKE EJEAGHA

Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji has expressed his condolences to the family, friends and numerous fans of the great highlife maestro, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, who is reported to have died on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the age of 95 and also calls on the institutions of state and the creative industry, to ensure that the great Mike Ejeagha is given a befitting burial and immortalized.

In the words of Chief Okoroji: “growing up and going to school in Uwani Enugu, the enchanting music of Mike Ejeagha was an indelible sound track of my youth. The depth and meaning of his poetic words, shaped my values. It is instructive that his music remained relevant at the dusk of his life”

Chief Okoroji has called on the institutions of state and the creative industry, to ensure that the great Mike Ejeagha is given a befitting burial and immortalized, in a way that an important statement is made that will inspire the new generation of Nigerians in the creative field.
