The Ikeja Region of the Celestial Church of Christ held its monthly Shepherds’ meeting with a strong call for spiritual leaders to prioritize rest, unity, and focused preparation ahead of the 40th Remembrance Anniversary of the Founder, Saint SBJ Oshoffa.
The meeting, held at C.C.C. Akiode Cathedral, opened with prayers led by VSE Olasunkanmi Omidiora, Shepherd of C.C.C. Ojodu Central Parish, who immediately proceeded to an exhortation tagged “Take Time to Rest.”
Referencing Mark 6:31, VSE Omidiora admonished all Shepherds to embrace rest, highlighting the importance of division of labour within the vineyard for sustained spiritual and physical strength.
MC Mojisola Alegbe Mpic
The presence of MC Mojisola Alegbe Mpic, and the entire Akiode Cathedral members was warmly recognized by the Regional Head, AMSE Okanlawon Adeboyeku, affirming the spirit of fellowship within the region.
The minutes of the previous meeting were presented by the Regional Secretary, VSE ùAdeyelu Adetola, and duly adopted.
Central Working Committee Report:
The Central Working Committee, chaired by VSE Babatunde Ahmed, presented updates on preparations for the 40th Remembrance Anniversary of Saint SBJ Oshoffa. Discussions centered on the contributions expected from each area, the designated payment account, and the timeline for remittances.
Regional Head, AMSE Okanlawon, emphasized the need for spiritual focus and collective commitment towards the upcoming September program, announcing plans to visit areas and parishes to generate support.
The region aims to raise ₦5 million, with ₦500,000 expected from Lagos Central Province M, Akiode (Province M).

Area Evangelism Report:
State Chairman of the Evangelism Committee, VSE Adetayo, expressed gratitude for the success of previous programs and announced that this year’s crusade will hold on December 19th, preceding the annual pilgrimage to Imeko. The estimated budget for the crusade is ₦1 million.
Upcoming Programs:
The Ikeja Region Female Church Workers announced plans to host all singles, single parents, and divorced members in a special program on July 26th at C.C.C. S.B.J. Oshoffa Parish, Mosan, Ipaja, Lagos.
As the meeting drew to a close, the Regional Secretary, VSE Adeyelu, reiterated that Harvest Returns and Levies are expected by His Eminence, Rev. Pastor E.M.F. Oshoffa, as the harvest season commences across parishes.
The next regional meeting is scheduled for August at the Regional Headquarters, CCC Ikeja 1.
The meeting, which ended at 2:45 PM, concluded with prayers by M/C Olatunde, while the benediction was shared by VSE Pascal, sealing the session in a spirit of unity and readiness for the tasks ahead.
