After three games each at the Ikenne Centre of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Youth League, Isah Ibrahim of Ikorodu City is leading the race for the zone’s top scorer with three goals.
Other scorers chasing the group’s golden boot include Akinocchio Mervielle of Remo Stars, Mubaraq Hamed and Adebayo Oni of Kwara United, on two goals each.
On resumption from a day off, three games were again played on Thursday for Matchday 3 hostilities.
In the opening game of the day, Kwara United made a bold move to fight for one of the two spots from the group after handing a 3-0 defeat to Shooting Stars.
The second game between Bendel Insurance and Sunshine Stars ended goalless.
The highlight of the day was the top of the log clash between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City. It lived up the billing as neither side wanted to be subdued. At the end, they split the points in a goalless affair.
