… Speaks on State of the nation
… NLC’s rigmarole with FG, says Oshimole started it
…Says only Nigerians can free themselves
Two Sundays ago, the crew of charlesokogene. com led by its publisher, Charles Okogene, were guests of Charly Boy, the maverick one that Nigerians refer to variously as ‘Area Fada, Okada Riders’ President ‘ and so on and the red carpet was laid for our reception that early morning somewhere in his remote Ajah palatial residence.
The first thing that caught our attention was the the size of his home, which sent some of us saying ”so this man that looks to us as a man with ‘scattered’ life is very organised. So he is merely pretending; he knows what he is doing?”
That done, we settled down to the reason for our visit. That is to get his opinion on the state of the nation as one of the die in the wool supporters of Obi and unapologetical ‘Obedient. ‘
” Nigeria of today has reached a point that only the masses can free themselves if they are prepared to do that. If them ‘don’ suffer enough them go do something and I go support them but as it is now, them ‘mumu’ never do. ‘Dem’ never suffer enough, ” he fired in answer to our first question, which was on the minimum wage negotiation between the federal government and the organised labour.
“So, una thinks say something good will come out of the negotiation? NLC/TUC just dey use the template of back and forth Adams Oshiomhole left behind. ” he said before regaling us with his personal experience/encounter with ex-NLC leader who has joined the oppressors of the masses first a governor, party chairman and now a senator .
According to him, Oshiomhole who rode on the back of the people to become governor of Edo State was one of those that started the back and forth strike negotiation the nation is experiencing from the present leadership of NLC/TUC.
“During Oshiomhole’stime, I was once involved in one of the many strikes it organised in Obasanjo days, when I was called to help mobilises okada riders. I went to airport to personally carry Oshiomhole to the NLC’s office in Yaba for us to proceed on one of the strikes but what happened? Disagreement that led to free for all ensued and I later found myself separating fight between pro and anti-Oshiomohole who were divided whether the strike will be or not. Before I knew it, they cancelled the strike that day. So not bi today it started. Ajaero just want to use NLC to feather his cap for future endeavors,” he said.

To him, the minimum wage thing is a propaganda between government and the organised labour leadership and nothing will come out of it.
“In this country, we just have a bunch of hypocrites. It’s all deceit and lies,” Charly Boy says regarding government. “They are not interested in the welfare of the common man.
“These are people who are not thinking about you and me, who are not thinking about the pain of the masses. They don’t bloody care. They’re in it to build their own empires. Get that straight into your head.”
He added, “It’s all about money. It’s corruption. It’s because we have a demonic atmosphere. That’s how best I choose to describe it. It’s very demonic.
“Rather than build institutions, they’re busy building their private empires. Is that what leadership is all about?”
He, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to put their foot down and fight, given the government’s apparent indifference to the frustration of the masses.
He said, “There is nothing encouraging in this country anymore until when we say enough is enough. And I keep wondering when will enough be enough?
“If we can’t fight for ourselves, then what is the point? The people, the rulers and the ruiners of Nigeria have demonstrated in very clear terms that they don’t have the pulse of the people. You can see the kind of funds, the kind of money being apportioned amongst them in this kind of hunger, in this kind of frustration and hopelessness.”
Charly Boy also mentioned that he had plans to mobilise bike men in the country to go into the streets and lend their voices in support of Labour, if their protest continued for longer. Unfortunately, his plans did not come to fulfillment as the strike ended sooner than he expected.
He stated, “Now that the government has said what they have said, let me see what NLC says. I did a post about a week and half ago and I said when this thing started, for some strange reason, I don’t know where I got the belief that maybe this is the turning point… I put out a post saying that if this protest continues in the next one week, that I will get up from where I am and mobilise 90% of the Nigerian bikers and okada people in this country and we’ll pour out on the street because that would have been a good time for everybody to fall out. I was praying fervently for that but it never came to pass. So, I’ll just say, we’ll give them one more try. But it’s for Nigerians to understand that there’s no pastor who can do any miracle for Nigeria to change.”
Additionally, he said, “What my people don’t understand, especially the youth of this country, is to get the fact that their future is in their hands. We are all in a very hopeless situation, so what is the fear?”
He also spoke on his private life, his nuclear family and health saying that all his children, wife have re-located to America, leaving him all a lone at home like Macaulay Culkins,
On his private life, he said a book on that subject matter is on its way jus as he confirmed the rumours that he went under the knife for a prostrate cancer operation but he has recuperated.
