Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, the distinguished former senator that represented Cross River State in the Nigerian Senate, former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters to President Olusegun Obasanjo and one of the most impactful women in Nigeria’s political history, will on Friday May 30, 2025, be honoured in a very big way, at the COSON Green Ball. She will be presented with ‘The Pillar of the Creative Industry Award’ in appreciation of her several decades of unflinching and unmatched support of the Nigerian creative family and decorated with the ‘Copyright Medal of Honour’.
Announcing the big celebration of Sen Ita-Giwa, Chief Tony Okoroji, the former President of PMAN and Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), said: “We normally do not present awards at the COSON Green Ball, our super exclusive event, neither do we indulge in the opaque and ridiculous award ceremonies that litter the landscape.

The COSON Green Ball which holds at MUSON Centre in Lagos on May 30, is the premium event of the much talked about master-blaster COSON Week 2025, with the uplifting mantra, “NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN!”
