The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifako/Ijaiye Local Government Area, Deacon Banjo Omole, has said that anybody can aspire to any elective position in the party in the area provided he/she is a committed member who is ready to work with all soul and might for the party.

He said this Monday at the party’s secretariat  at Haurna  when the Labour Party’s contestant to the chairmanship of  local government election, Hon. Dayo Asade, led other councillors and vice chairman contestants  of labour party to defect to defect to APC.

Omole said that politics is a game of number and followership and if anybody desires to benefit from it, the person must be dedicated, preserve and ready to serve with all his might as there is no place quick fix for anybody as those who found themselves in fix quick position never go far.

He narrated to the audience how he started his journey in politics in the days of first civilian government of the state, Alhaji Lateef Jakande as a youth and told  the audience that was made of youths to think of what they can do for the party and not what they can benefit from the party.

He went down memory lane to narrate how he found himself as a political leader in Ifako and urged the youths to work hard .

Speaking at the occasion, Asade said, ” we are here to add value to the party. I am here with my members from LP”.
