Since Amaju Pinnick levelled this allegation of paying Davido N72m and renting a private jet to fly him to Warri for a show he did not honour, many questions have been running riot in my brain.
And on of the question is where did Pinnick whose only job then that was known to Nigerians is football administration at both state and federal level, got a staggering N72m to pay just one artiste for a show and on top of it, spend another $18, 000 hiring a private jet for him.
- How was he hoping to recoup the money in a show to be held in Warri? How much would have been the gate fee or table? Would an average ‘waffiran’ have paid as much as N500,000 to see the ‘Omo baba olowo’ singer.
- Is there any hall in Warri that would have contained one million fans of Daivdo to offset the N72m and the cost of the private jet not to talk of his (Davido’s) accommodation, feeding and that of his crew member.
- Why pay such amount to only one musician in a country full of top flight acts like Burna Boy, WizKid and so on.
- These are some questions Pinnick will need to provide answers to in future.
