‘History’ of OdoNla

Odeyemi Offiran was the one that founded OdoNla. He was one of the sons of Awujale of Ijebu ode. He begat three Children – Ogbodo, Reselu and upenyewa.

He later went back to Ijebu Ode to become the Awujale of Ijebu land.

Raselu the second son visited his father at Ijebu Ode and was handed the paraphernalia of Obaship.

Though OdoNla has what it takes to have a king but no king has ever ruled in OdoNla. That is why the OdoNla people are called Omo Oba Meta.

Otunba Olanrewaju Afuwape was chosen through the Ifa oracle when he was presented by the elders of the family over 20 years ago.

He is a prominent member of the Ikorodu Divisional Chieftaincy Council representing OdoNla has the number one Chieftaincy office holder in OdoNla.
