In his brilliant presentation, Agure-Dam hinted that though, the emergence of ChatGPT spelt the end of the Google era, the birth of NiGPT had the capacity to relegate the ChatGPT to the back seat in terms of real time indigenised solutions to information needs of the Nigeria’s enlightened populace seeking reliable and detailed information on any topical issue from across the sectors even cognisant of our cherished values as it captures the essence of our cultural bent much better.
While ChatGPT, akin to a hybrid of the conventional Google, gives what could pass for estimated, or at best, summarised information about a topical issue indigenous to Nigeria, NiGPT possesses the capacity to provide the required information on economy, politics and other fields in Nigeria and promptly too.
NiGPT also has the capability to highlight our true strengths even as it helps to address our weaknesses.
The NiGPT 2.1 for example, is a model learning tool, enhancing learning for the Nigerian students with the capability for image generation even as it is dialect-sensitive.
With the emergence of NiGPT, Agure-Dam Said, Nigeria would be on the way of being positioned as a hub of tech innovation in Africa.
He stressed that NiGPT, especially its 1.1 version promotes responsible AI behaviour, respect for Intellectual Property as it possesses most improved machine-tailored answers to Nigeria issues, adding that it is empowered to provide narrative of our culture correctly, while curbing wrong presentation of our reality.
Stated he: “It is an important tool that has come to stay for us to remain competitive in an emerging global economy. Neglecting AI could jeopardise efforts aimed at enhancing business efficiency and national competitiveness”.
